An opportunity for LEAD attendees to experience the museum with lowered volume and light levels. These programs welcome anyone who can benefit from a low-sensory museum environment.
What to expect: This environment will provide access when the museum is closed to the general public, lowered sound and lighting in galleries and Sky Church, access to all current museum galleries and, with registration, you will receive advanced notice of what to expect during your visit.
Registration: Required, limited to 200 attendees. Attendees do not need to create a login to register. Look to the right side of the registration page to the Guest selection and select Continue as Guest. This will allow you to register for the event and not have to create any account.

Accommodations: Accessible Physical Space, Captioning on all videos in the exhibits, Large Print/Text, Quiet Space, Sensory Objects, Sensory-Friendly Programming, Service Animal Accommodations.
Exhibits include accessible educational programming (Universal Design for Learning), and children are welcome.
Mask Policy: Encouraged, but not mandatory

We are so excited to welcome you to MoPOP’s Sensory-Friendly Evening this Thursday, August 1st, from 6:00pm-8:00pm! Please read the following email closely, as it contains important information.
Attached, you’ll find the following:
A social story to help you learn more about our museum and what to expect at Sensory-Friendly Evening. There will be a sign outside of this entrance to look out for.
A map of the museum for your own reference.
A welcome sheet with a timeline for the Evening.

When you arrive:
Please enter via the museum’s North/Group Entrance at the 5th Ave and Harrison turnaround. Information on directions and parking at MoPOP can be found here.
Noise-cancelling headphones will be available at the check-in table, and will be disinfected before and after use.
